Finding the right foundation for your skin can be a mission and pure hard work right!? My skin type is combination so my T-zone area gets rather oily throughout the day especially when I apply foundation. So I'm going to give you a quick review on my foundations which are limited down to a few of my favourites only because the review will become a never ending review if I mention each one of them.
1. Bobbi Brown
This my wonderful followers, is my favourite. If only I can just express how much I love this foundation through words or even show my facial expressions then maybe you would just go buy it yourself. This Bobbi Brown skin foundation is extremely light and leaves this amazing glow that does not look sweaty or such. It will not be a good foundation for those who have oily skin. The shade I wear is 'warm natural' on a daily basis and also wear the shade above which is 'honey' from time to time when I feel like looking slightly darker. If your looking for something with light-medium coverage which looks natural with the slight glow then this foundation is perfect and will make your life a lot brighter :) BB Skin Foundation - £30 Selfridges |
2. Dior
The Dior Forever foundation was my life saver foundation for my wedding day. That is the foundation I found best after many many trials with other foundations and I was ever so happy that I finally came to a conclusion and chose this beautiful foundation. Why I chose this foundation was because I needed a foundation that looked flawless on photos, one that was matte, one that didn't get oily on my T-zone and I wanted one that had full coverage too. I mean why not hey? It was my wedding day so I was allowed to ask for all of that and I got it too. I would recommend this for those who are looking for the kind of outcome I wanted too. I would not suggest this foundation for those who have dry skin. If you do have dry skin then it's best you used a rich moisteriser heavily applied prior to applying the foundation so that the foundation does not dry up or go patchy. 3. Bobbi Brown & Nars
Nars pure radiant tinted moisturizer - £28 Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer oil free - £29 | These two are tinted moisturizers so basically their moisturizers but with a tint of colour. So I'm just going to honest with you, to me they are not tinted moisturizers as they are very comparable to foundations but that's not to say I don't like them because I actually love them. They both come out quite thick but once they are on the skin it appears light. What I like about these tinted moisturizers is that it leaves this dewy finish on my skin which I'm a fond of. I guess it does a good job to even out the skin which a normal moisturizer wouldn't do on the spot. I have started to use the tinted moisturizers as I want to wear less foundation so I make myself feel better by using this and it works. I would recommend tinted moisturizers for those who want to wear a bit of colour to brighten the skin but also want to keep it light. I would also recommend this to those who will start to wear foundations or don't really wear it often so you don't want to feel heavy. |
4. Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown luminous moisturizing foundation is rich. What more can I really say when the bottle says it all. I love wearing this when I'm feeling like I need some of Jlo's glow so it adds pure luminosity to my skin. It is medium to full coverage but I rarely pile it on as I like to keep it light making my face look refreshed rather than having a foundation face look. I must say this was my number one foundation when I went on my honeymoon to Mauritius. It is amazing under the sun. I did think it will look sweaty but that was me at fault. It did not look sweaty at all but in fact looked superb on my skin. I just had that constant holiday tan look. So as you may figure out, me was very happy with this foundation. | Bobbi Brown luminous moisturizing foundation - £30 |
5. Makeup Forever
Makeup Forever HD foundation - £30.95 http://www.gurumakeupemporium.com/buy-Makeup-Forever-HD-Invisible-Cover-Foundation | I'm adding a review on the Makeup Forever HD foundation as it was requested from one of my followers. Makeup Forever HD foundation is not one that I reach out for quite often. The reason being is that when I apply it on my skin, the foundation looks horrendous, and it's funny because its highly talked about on YouTube and so on. However, once the foundation oxidizes into my skin it looks amazing and flawless too. The foundation does take time to sink in to my skin and settle which is the reason why I don't reach out for it because as I walk out of the house, I like to know that my skin is looking the way I would like it to look so Makeup Forever HD unfortunately is not upto my standards. That's not to say that for others it would be the same. Every skin is different and so on mine it just take a little long to sink in. The Foundation is best used with a buffing brush with quick movements. It also looks beautiful on photos which is a really a big thumbs up from me. Who doesn't like a good photo, right!? |
I don't know whether you have figured out a pattern yet or not. If not, then let me see you at peace. My best brand that I trust and totally love their foundation is Bobbi Brown. Why? Because of the shade range and they have yellow undertone which a lot of Asian people have and hence why BB is amazing. To be honest I loved BB so much that I bought the whole palette with the full 20 shades of foundation and concealer and correctors. I would 101% recommend BB for those who have yellow undertone as BB do it all..
For now..
Assalamu-Alaikum ❤
