Duvet cover from IKEA priced at £25
Aahhhh the boudoir where I spend many of my quality hours and that space that will always be mine and mine only.. OOoopppss my husbands as well, I often do forget to fit him in into my little space. I always think that the bedroom space should be the space where you splash out your thoughts and when someone enters your bedroom it should totally scream you. Since I have been married I have changed the look of my bedroom twice but I have never been satisfied with the outcome but this time round I did everything from top to bottom. I moved my bed, changed the blinds, new rugs that cover the whole of the carpet etc. So I've made huge changes and added extra parts to my bedroom which I will of course tell you about on this post.
I'm hoping this boudoir post could give you some ideas on how you could do up your bedroom or living room etc. I will note down where I have bought some of the interiors and home decor flying around in my room so that if you like it you can go get it. I have been inspired a lot when I see backgrounds from watching youtube videos as well as having my own vision of how I would like my bedroom to look during spring/summer. I hope you enjoy this post my loves.

These three cushions are bought from 2 different stores. The black and white one is from ikea priced at £10.50 with the cover and inner cushion (click here to buy). The mustard cushion is from Dunelm Mill priced at £9.99 (click here to buy). The smaller cushion with button detail is also from Dunelm Mill priced at £7.99 (click here to buy). The mustard cushion I love and adds the pop of colour to the room. The black and white cushion adds some definition and shape. Finally the button detail cushion adds this lovely texture to the room so they all have their own little magic that work together.
This wall/mirror sticker is from an online website which I have totally forgotten the name of. There are plenty of sites that do these wall stickers but I bought this one for about £15. I have found a website that does this sticker (click here to buy). I've added this wall sticker to my mirror which you can also do and it just adds this extra trueness to the room and something for people to be reminded of. A girl surely cannot deny this saying.
In my bedroom, theres a beam that comes down slightly which you can section out which is exactly what I did. I added a pole first and then bought 2 different curtains and a patterned panel all from IKEA. Working from right to left I put the dark beige curtain and the middle curtain is this really soft light weight white curtain. The last one is the patterned panel. I thought it was nice to add three different kinds so that it wouldn't look boring and adds lightness the room as well as subtle colours. | This is my very large mirror. Ive owned this mirror once before and I love it so much. You may not think a mirror won't make a difference to your room but in actual fact it does. I had a thinner mirror before this mirror which seemed fine but then I wanted to get my old mirror back, I bought this again from IKEA for £30 and once it was placed in my room, suddenly my room looked bigger and spacious and thats all because of a mirror. Great right! |
This floor lamp was bought from littlewoods about a year ago so I couldn't find the link for this on their site but this lamp is just great. It's placed in a corner of my bedroom and when switched on at night, it sets this beautiful mood off which is quite calming. The lamp also goes really well with some of its original feature within my room.
Here my fashion, beauty and home books are piled up and on top I place these really cute cupcake looking candles that I bought from Asda. I love how the ribbon is wrapped around the glass that adds this lovely look to it. The candle is vanilla scented and for £3 each whats there to complain hey. Behind my candles I also hang my neck pieces so that I can see them on the go and pop one on I feel the need to.
And this is my loved tray. It is a tray to put food and cups on it and thats exactly what I do. I only use this when I'm taking breakfast for myself upstairs and I'm working at the same time or for my husband. Yes my husband does enjoy his bed and breakfast which I do on weekends for him. This tray was already at my in-laws house but I have seen a very similar tray in H&M home department so thats something or you to check out.
Finally my LOVE sign which I have owned for quite some years and I had bought it from a home shop local to me when I was living in Manchester for about £5 I remember but I love this wooden sign because it's a daily reminder of how love should conquer your world especially when your feeling a little down. I have seen many of these wooden signs that say 'home sweet home' and 'bath time' etc which I think is really cool to dot around your house to make it look a little more quirky.
