I get super intrigued when the one of the beauty brands decides to bring out something completely new, something that has a twist to it and something that could potentially be a great saviour in our makeup bags. Cover FX have brought out this custom cover drops and what it does is transform any cream/liquid formula whether it be foundation, tinted moisturiser, primer or moisturiser. You do this by adding drops of this pure pigment depending on what type of coverage your after. You drop 1-4 drops so if your someone who likes very little coverage then you can add 1 drop. If you like medium coverage then 2 or 3 drops will do you but if your someone who likes the full shebang of full coverage then 4 drops is the option.
Are you liking the sound of that? See I totally fell in love with the whole concept and how it is totally new in the market but whether it works or not is the question. I was in Manchester and I knew that Harvey Nichols had this so couldn't hold my horses and grabbed it. The shade range in this is immense, like I literally kept going back and fourth deciding which shade would be best. They have the shades with pink and yellow undertones so it suits everyone. I like how they have so many shades though (24 shades I believe) because I don't feel so left out then. It's actually such a shame when beauty brands don't think that they should bring out darker shades for darker complexions. I mean isn't it common sense!? What I love is that you can add this to any facial product that is cream or liquid and it will be transformed instantly and the great thing is it doesn't change the products formula or the finish but just adds pure pigment. I really love my Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base because of the finish and how it feels and when I dropped 2 drops of this custom cover drops it stayed exactly the same but colour was on my face. I also used this with my burberry foundation which is a really light weight glowy foundation and I added 2 drops of this to umph it's coverage and it's amazing how it transforms. I honestly think it's such a great product. You can add to a primer too which I did below and that way your makeup will last longer and cling onto your skin nicely. Seriously I feel this is a great invention and I'm not sure if the beauty world really know the potentials thats are attached with this one product. I have so many foundations that I love but their light coverage but I really enjoy the finish of them so with the custom cover drops I am able to enjoy so many of my foundations now if I wanted more coverage and majority of the times I do like a little more coverage. The only thing I will point out is you have to obviously buy the right shade otherwise it will change the shade of your other foundations but that's common sense I guess.
Have you guys tried this yet? If you have let me know how you got on with it on the comment below.
