Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
Okay so I have here for you 2 brow products I have tried out in the 2 last months and one of them I had missed out on last time it came out which is the MAC fluidline brow gel creme but this time I managed to get it in time before it sold out again. I will be comparing the 2 products with pro's and con.
This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in the shade Chocolate. I was so excited to use this product on my brows especially because I had grown my brows out for 2 months and once I got them threaded I used this dip brow pomade on my brows and they just looked fab. The product is mega pigmented which means too much of accidental product on your brush and it needs to be wiped off the brush otherwise your brows will look awfully fake and the product will just look too much on the brows. As it is highly pigmented the dip brow pomade will last a long time especially for those who fill in their brows everyday then this will be your favourite product, one that will last long and look good too. Another point I would like to make is the stay power of the product on the brow. It does last the whole day and doesn't budge either. When I wear this I don't need to apply a brow setting gel which is a nice plus for me as I get to miss out one less step. The dip brow pomade is good if your after a well groomed brow look because in most cases once I have applied the product it looks perfect but I wouldn't say it looks natural although you can make it look natural with the use of the tiniest product ever. The only con I could point out is that you have to work really fast with the product as it dries out fairly quickly. The shade itself sometimes feels a tad bit dark for me even though my brow hair is black I like to lighten it slightly so that it's not looking too bushy or heavy. They have eight shades within this dip brow pomade range as far as I am aware which can be suited to many brow shades so plenty of shades to browse through to suit your needs. The price of this is £15 and I will leave a link for this to purchase in the UK (click here to buy).
Mac Fluidline Brow Gelcreme
Onto the Mac Fluidline Brow gelcreme in the shade Deep Dark Brunette. This fluidline for brows came out a little while ago at Mac and this particular shade was out in seconds and they didn't get it back again until just recently when they relaunched it again with The Waterproof Brow selection. Unfortunately this shade is sold out again in the UK and they have the other shades still available but this is the reason why I quickly got my hands on this. So they have 3 shades available in total and if you have not guessed already then their Deep Dark Brunette shade is the popular one. Okay so to begin with the texture of this is lovely. Its very light and airy but also highly pigmented which again means that it is so worth every penny as it will last you a long time. The texture of this is more creamier than the dip brow pomade so I feel that it's easier to work with, however the dip brow pomade is also creamy and not at all by any means hard to work with. It's just that I prefer using the fluidline just because it is a bit more creamier. With the fluidline you can work with the product for longer than you can with the dip brow pomade as the pomade dries a little quicker so you need to work fast with it. The stay power of the fluidline is not as long as the pomade but is still long enough to last throughout the day. It does set nicely and again you can achieve that well groomed eye brow look with this product. One con that I would point out is the shade range, it is a small selection of shades to choose from hence why maybe the deep dark brunette sells out fast. The price of this is £15.50 and I will leave a link for this to purchase online in the UK (Click here to buy).
Overall I love both products and for everyday use I would use the Mac fluidline but for special occasions I would wear the Anastasia Beverly Hill dip brow pomade. They are both very similar in the way they work and similar in price too but if I was to choose only one then just by little I would choose the Mac Fluidline Brow Gelcreme. Like I said they are very similar but just because of the little more creamier texture I'm going for the fluidline but honestly they are both wicked products and they win over any other brow products I own!
